Who is Marriage Encounter for?
Any married couple who desire a richer, fuller life together. Marriage Encounter is designed to deepen and enrich the joys a couple share together, whether they have been married a short time, or for many years.

Do you have to be Christians to attend?
No, but the weekend is based on Christian principles of marriage and a degree of sympathy to the Christian faith is always helpful. The weekends have been a great help to many non-Christians over the years.

Does the weekend respect the couple's privacy?
YES! The weekend is orientated strictly to each individual couple. You concentrate on your spouse to such an extent that you are hardly aware of the other couples present. The presentations are given to the group as a whole. After each presentation, the husband and wife have time in the privacy of their room for their own personal discussion.

Is Marriage Encounter for You?
Marriage Encounter is for any married couple who desire to improve and strengthen their marriage by deepening their love and understanding of each other. What does the Weekend Cost?
A £20 registration fee is required to confirm your reservation. Since Marriage Encounter is a non-profit, volunteer ministry financed through couples' donations, this is the only fixed fee. Costs are explained during the weekend and each couple is given the opportunity to make an anonymous donation. Weekends are therefore available to all couples whatever their finances.
